Lindley Family 2011

The first time I met Becca was in our grandparents park in Florida…this little blonde with red rimmed glasses from Illinois peeked around my shoulder and introduced herself. I remember thinking that her glasses were so cool!! We instantly became friends…taking bike rides, dancing on the bed while listening to “say you, say me” on the radio…sharing stories about boys that we liked…when it was time for us to head home we exchanged addresses and became pen pals. :) 26 years later she is still one of my dearest and closest friends. We’ve shared many laughs, giggles and tears. My life wouldn’t be the same without her. She is a gem and her lovies, all three, are fantastic too! Love you Becca!!

A + C

my very very first client…the sweet little A. She was just turning 1 the last time I photographed her. :) It’s amazing how time flies and how quickly our little lovies grow. Now this little beauty has a brother and he is just a sweetie pie. All boy and so much fun!! Love this family.

Hutchison Kids 2011

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same. ~Flavia Weedn

Yesterday I was lucky enough to spend some time with one of those people and her beautiful children. Years ago this super beautiful, popular, all-star athlete and soon to be college freshman took some time out of her summer to coach 13 year ole’ me in the high jump. An event in which she held the school record. I was over the moon. Totally in awe. She was the COOLEST! Those evenings meant the world to me. She showed me true kindness and warmth. I adored her. And still do. :) Karris, thank you so much for coming up, hanging with me and letting me snap away at your lovies. You are just as beautiful and warm as ever. oxoxo

The Awesome Rhodes Family…

I’m totally playing catch up with my editing…thankfully I have the most amazing friends that are so understanding when it takes me weeks and weeks to get them their images. Back in October I took a trip back to my hometown with my uber talented photog friend, Jean (I may have mentioned her before?!)…to photograph Ked (whom I’ve known since highschool) and his beautiful family. Without Kedron, I wouldn’t be where I am today with my photography. He designed my website/blog….keeps it up and running…deals with all my drama…comes to the rescue to assist…did I mention he is a fantastic photographer too? The guy is crazy talented! I couldn’t be more thankful. His family means the world to him and I’m glad to have been able to spend an afternoon with them! I’ve enjoyed getting to know his wife and children over the past few years. They are all pretty darn amazing!!! Ked – much love to you and your family!

a quick fav | Macomb County Area Photographer

it’s busy season…and yep, I’m editing, editing, editing. :) Last week I was able to squeeze in some time with a good friend and her boys. Her hubby and mine went to law school together….they moved back to Grand Rapids (boo) right after law school…and funny enough, our last dinner together got canceled because she gave birth to her oldest boy. :) We love them and miss them. So spending a few hours with these little guys and their lovely mom was a treat! So…a quick one of my favs…and mom did NOT want to be in any pics…silly girl! ox
