Moments Captured by Retha

it’s busy season…and yep, I’m editing, editing, editing. Last week I was able to squeeze in some time with a good friend and her boys. Her hubby and mine went to law school together….they moved back to Grand Rapids (boo) right after law school…and funny enough, our last dinner together got canceled because she gave birth to her oldest boy. We love them and miss them. So spending a few hours with these little guys and their lovely mom was a treat! So…a quick one of my favs…and mom did NOT want to be in any pics…silly girl! ox

Last week I went out with Sophie and her mom to a field she had spotted over the weekend. We were afraid to wait until her session to shoot there, just in case the purplish haze of grass disappeared. I’ll have more on Sophie later this month but for now..a beautiful girl in a beautiful field.

Can these girls be any sweeter? I mean really?! That beautiful blonde hair, their eyes, those smiles…seriously, I want to squeeze these two. If you had the chance to spend even a few seconds with them, you’d fall in love because not only are they just beautiful…they have the sweetest personalities. I have to say that I’m not surprised…their ultra goregous momma, Stacee, is my cousin (her hubby isn’t so bad either ). I love my family and I’m so happy that I had some time to spend with them. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful April day to spend with little B and her mom. With all those gorgeous ruffles and new shoes, B held up like a rock star. Smart, sweet and full of smiles, she is one special 8 year old. Here are a few from our time together…

Happy New Year! Now that the Holidays are over and all the gifts have been given, I can share a few of my favorite pictures of my little bunnies that I took in early November. My sweet baby girl turned one just a week before and, yes, I had to snap a few of big brother too…how could I resist that smile??

When I photographed Gina and her cousins a few weekends ago, we made sure to snap some quick pics of her and Joey. Joey was one of my spokesmodels and I’m so thankful to have gotten to know him and Gina over the last year. They are so much fun and I love photographing them!
